Circles and Crop Circles

Recently I was introduced to Perfect Circles, an easy and quick way to make fabric circles for my quilts...and as you can see, I am hooked. After making a number of circles I had to ask myself...what the heck am I going to do with them? Then it dawned on me...crop circle inspired quilts.
I had seen crop circles in a magazine 10 years ago and I had to buy the magazine just for the pictures. After a little research on the internet, I was hooked. The designs are so beautiful, intricate and precise. I truly can't believe that they are being created by humans. They appear overnight without a trace of human involvement. And there are lots of them appearing each summer in England and now in Italy. For great pictures check out this site: www.lucypringle.co.uk

This is just one of the many fabulous patterns. Needless to say, I am inspired. How about you?

These are amazing!!! I can see how you can become hooked on this! You should definitely go for it! I can see a whole series of quilts inspired by crop circles. They are beautiful and so intricate...they boggle my mind. Thanks for the link to more pictures. They are fascinating! I will also have to check out the Perfect Circles tool. I haven't seen that yet.

I'm currently making my 2nd in a series of "Crop Circles" quilts. I'm using pictures I draw while in airplanes. It is fun!

Geneva, I want to see pictures of your quilts. I am very intrigued by the idea. And Bee...The Perfect Circles come in two packages - large circles that gradate in size and small circles that do the same. They are really easy to use...just don't use a hot iron with them as they warp easily. I learned the hard way!

Hey, Karen, I wish I'd thought of that first! Crop circles, what a concept! I'm also curious about the package of Perfect Circles . . . they're precut fabric circles? or a template for making them, like yo-yo's with turned-under edges? I can't tell from the picture.
